How to Join

The BII Workshop is open to all participants who are interested to join. Participation from all stakeholders – both from the public as well as the private sector – is encouraged by the existing members to contribute to the activities of the task teams, ensuring wider acceptance and robustness of the Workshop’s results.

Active members from other relevant initiatives with whom a formal liaison has been established are encouraged to participate in the works of the relevant Work Group within CEN WS/BII3.

Organisations considering participation in the BII3 workshop may have observers attend workshop’s meetings. Request for observers should be sent to the secretariat.

All members of the Workshop will have the opportunity to:

  • Nominate representatives to participate in plenary meetings as well as in the task teams and thus provide guidance and influence on the deliverables provided by the Workshop
  • Have representatives included in the mailing lists of the Workshop and its task teams and thus receive early access to important information on the progress of work items

Fees

A participation fee will be asked from national stakeholders (e.g. DIGST, Difi, SFTI, Consip, BME, etc.), national or international organizations, NGOs (e.g. GS1 in Europe) and IT service providers (including vendors). Direct participation from end users (private and public sector entities) is a key target; in order to encourage participation, no participation fee from end users is required.

 

An annual participation fee will be expected from all members of the Workshop, as follows:

  • € 3.000 for national stakeholders
  • € 1.000 for national or international organisations
  • € 750 for IT-providers, suppliers, etc.
  • Free of charge participation  for end users
